Flooding in Texas
Well, looks like the river that drains from the hill country in central Texas to our area is finally getting hit with sufficient rain to cause us problems. Here's a link to an article from CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/07/06/tex....ap/index.html
We're in the Guadalupe River basin. A few folks in our area have had water in their homes already from local runoff. Looks like folks near the river will be suffering as well. We personally will be fine, but there are many here who won't. It's pouring outside right now, as I type. |
I'm in Houston and it has rain like hell here. I'm so sick of it. I can't do much outside b/c of the rain. The grass hasn't been cut since last week!. It's so wet! that is driving me nuts!

We've had some rain here, but not even close to what you all have been having. I'm so glad it's not going to be causing you problems Marilyn.
Flooding can cause so much damage....did you read Diana's thread. Just horrible rain. |
Marilyn, I'm so glad that you're high and dry. I keep hearing that Texas is getting more rain. I know how tiring the rain can be. Keep safe and drive carefully. The rain has really torn up our roads.
