6 weeks down, 3 to go! Times 2!

I'm so excited to be able to share this with you all. It seems BOTH my labs are pregnant!
See, I knew if I came here I'd be among people who could share my excitement! I tried telling Moses what's up and he just gave me a goofy doggy grin. Hmmmm maybe he DID understand! LOL

I emailed the lady I got the Lab girls from. I know she will be as surprised about Montana as I am. She'd had her checked out because she refused to get bred... and the vet kept telling her there was nothing obvious wrong with her. I'd love to be able to see the look on her face when she reads the news! I guess she just likes Moses better than the lab boys they introduced her to. LOL

The truly exciting part of this for me is that I really wanted chocolate babies, and now that's a strong possibility! Yeeeeeehawwwwwwwww Considering we have puppies coming from a "barren" female and an "unproven" male, I think this was just meant to be.
I'm sure I will share pictures til you all beg me to stop! What's cuter than puppies? And I do have this nice new digi camera just begging to be used!

Aww! Congrats on the pups. I wish I lived closer to help out. Emmie would live over there!LOL

Congratulations!!!! I love puppy kisses. It sounds like you will have plenty coming.

What exciting news!!!!!! Little puppies!!! We're glad to have you share your news with us!!!!!! Congratulations!!

Congratulations Tink! That's really exciting. I need pictures of the bellies moving, the puppies, and possibly the births.

Yeah, right! Like you'll have time to take pictures while tending to the births of two litters of pups!

I think you have to buy Moses a Stud Muffin tee shirt.

I'm so excited for you.

Oh my! LOL

Congrats Tink!

LOL Judy that would be cute.

I did order myself a tee-shirt this week though. It will have a picture of Moses on it with a caption that says "Whoever said you can't buy love never had a labradoodle." I thought that would be fun to wear. :)

I hope you have a great time with all the soon to be delivered puppies. They are always a joy, but by the time they are old enough to go to new homes...I am exhausted.

Tink 08-16-2007 08:07 AM

Oh Janet, I know you're speaking the truth. LOL

When they're born and new, they're such a novelty and you're SO excited to just study them. For the first 2-3 weeks Mama does most of the work and it's just fun to watch and cuddle them. Then they start to get their legs under them, and get some weight to them... and learn to mess everywhere and drag evertything... by the time they're 8 weeks old you're thinking Isn't this soon going to be over?
By 12 weeks you're thinking of standing on a street corner looking for prospective new owners. LOL

It's been a while, but I do remember. And of course I've lived it vicariously through you lately too.

Are their bellies big? Can you see movement? Can I come live there and help?

I'm so happy - I just love new life!

Tink 08-16-2007 01:01 PM

Judy, I'd love your help! I suspect I'm going to have enough puppies to fill both our laps. LOL
In her previous litters Canada has had as many as 10 pups... and then whatever Montana has. I'd be quite happy if they each had 6... that's a lapfull... don't you think? A Dozen newborns would be nice... but when I start to think of possibly having 20 8 week old puppies running at my feet, I admit it becomes a bit overwhelming. LOL

How soon can you get here? Mama will do most of the work the first 2-3 weeks... so by the end of Sept my workload is going to grow rapidly. What do you have planned for the months of October and November? It's lovely in Wisconsin that time of year. ROFLMBO
