New Scam
 

I Just got the following email. I googled email threats and called my local FBI office.
She said to jut delete it - it's a new common scam. They want your usual - SS#, bank account, etc. She said never respond to these - just delete them.

Deleted!!!!

I am Mr Coleman Drang, the only man seer from london living in usa I am a murderer. i was been paid to kill you and you family by one of your friend's and the date has come .

my colleagues has been in your state right now keeping eye's on everystep's you move but on my searching about your contact email information i find out your email and due to the love i have with your family i decided to inform you about it before going any forward with my boy's.
Do get back to me as soon as possible if you have anything to say about this ,so that i will give you all their informations.

I get e-mail scams, telling me i won the lottery, almost everyday, geeeezzzzz i could be the richest woman on earth LOL

I just can't believe the sickos out there. I also would have thought the FBI would have been a little more....something????

Oh my gosh - that's scary. I'd pee my pants if I got an email like that! Very smart of you to google that and what a relief to find out it's "just" a scam. Yikes!!!!! How cruel.

I think that there's a clue in the e-mail for us. He can't talk properly. I believe that people from England can put sentences together better than that!:interesting: If someone sent that to me, I'd be laughing my head off!!!!!! :sidesplit: Who wants to hire a hit man to kill a farmer and his family!!!!!:scratchhead:

I wasn't scared - it was so obviously a scam (by the terrible English, the fact that I'm not really important enough to murder, and I'm not one of those varmint farmers) - but, you're right Janet. The FBI, although they certainly are aware of these scams, do nothing other than to tel you to ignore it, don't ever answer them and delete it. I suppose if you're freaking out they calm you down.

I think when someone emails you that they're going to murder you though, they should at least ask you to forward the email. I offered!

Judy, isn't it sad that there are people so dense they'd actually fall for that though? I mean DANG I wonder who helps them boot up their computer? ;)

My father had an aunt who fell for a scam years ago. We all felt bad for her, but couldn't believe that she was that dumb!

I got a new one today - some other nonsense. I did respond with

"May the fleas of 1000 camel infest your armpits."

I know you're not supposed to respond, but I can't resist. I love that answer. Got it from another site.
