Brendon's Music

I mentioned recently that my hubby sings and plays guitar, so I thought I'd post a link so you ladies can hear his stuff. :)

I love that guy! :D

Mandy 10-01-2007 10:00 AM

Janet, there should be three options for each song: MP3, Lo-fi, and Hi-Fi. The first is if you'd like to download, the other two are just to listen online. Lo-fi is if you have dial-up and hi-fi is if you have cable internet. If you click on either of the second two, it will give you a pop-up which plays the song.

Hope that helps!

He wrote all of those songs Diana. There's another song I want to put online that he did with a group of his friends. His former youth leader wrote that one. It's really amazing and I hope to be able to put it up soon...but I have to find the CD first... ;)

He seriously should join a band, or in any case take it futher, it would be a shame to "keep if for himself" :)

He's been in a band in the past, with some VERY talented guys, but the guy who kind of put the whole thing together (and had all of the recording equipment) is pretty hard to work with at times. He has his moods. lol. Because Brendon worked full-time and had a wife, he was limited with how often he could make it to practices so the leader kind of gave up and found a new band... *sigh* Oh well.

Anyway, I found the song I mentioned earlier! It is the VERY FIRST recording though and not nearly as awesome as the final copy, which is what I really wanted to share with you, but I guess a bad copy is better than nothing. :) I just keep thinking how much better the final version was because it had back-up vocals and NO mistakes and was over-all just sharper and sounded better. But anyway, here's the link!

Holy Ground- Halogen

It should be the first song on the list and it doesn't have a picture beside it.

My word, you gotta be kidding Angie!! That is beautiful - please tell him, i say, he must not waste time, and start looking for another band to join, he cant let hes talent just lay there.
That is what my brother did, he has so much talent, he sings, plays guitar, piano, and drums, he never really used it much, he made a few cd's - i keep telling him it's a sin to let it go to waste.
He used to do shows, and sang a few at our wedding, i get chills when i hear him, i'm so sorry he never did more with it.

LOL, I'll tell him. He was embarrassed to let me post that version, but he let me anyway. He'll be happy to know you didn't think it was awful! :D

There are some parts where he just cringes and says "wow, I wish I could redo that line" He's a perfectionist when it comes to music...

I think that's why it's so hard to be in a band. They are ALL perfectionists, but sometimes they have different ideas about what exactly is "perfect".

I remember when I first met Brendon, he wanted to be a famous singer/guitar player, but he was worried he'd never find true love if he did. How would he know he was loved for who he was, not because he was famous? I thought that was really sweet... And now he wants to be a computer scientist. LOL. Funny how things change.
