What a slap in the face !!!!
Oh i am so mad right now, i just got off the phone with my husband, and he called his office to inquire about his yearly raise. and he got a whopping 1/2% raise...
Oh my God... The payroll clerk said it was in last pay, i guess we didn't even notice the extra 1.00 a week he got.. He said come spring time he's getting out of there... I just need to vent.. He was with that company for 13 years, he didn't get a raise last year cause they moved him up to a foreman and gave him a nice raise and all the extra work and working weekends and out of town this is the thanks he gets. I told him to this is the last time he is going out of town for this company, let them find another person to go, tell them you have a family now and can't go.. Oh i am so mad right now i can just scream...... |

I sure will pray for you both! It's hard knowing exactly what direction to go. Has he talked with his boss about this? Never know it might help....nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It sounds like a sitcom! I will be praying that he ends up in the right place.

soap opera.. oh boy i can tell you story's about his boss. |
Haley, I would have been pretty upset with a raise like that too! That's not hardly even worth mentioning! I had a friend that got a Christmas bonus of $23 and some cents. I would be embarassed giving a bonus like that! If your husband's work place is like a soap opera I wouldn't blame him for wanting to find another job.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for him. Hope he finds a better job.

I acually figured out his raise he go 1/2 percent of his wages = .12 cents and extra .96 cents a day, an extra 4.80 a week after taxes is 2.88. that is so frustrating, it wasn't even worth the company doing the paperwork.. I have to stop beating myself up about this and move on... God will lead him, better things are waiting for him, you just have to go out and find them... |
You know what they say Haley - one door closes and another one opens.
It sounds like a good thing that he's moving to another job. I have to say that in this economy, having another job to move to sounds like he's got an angel on his shoulder! I'd let it go if I were you and just assume that it was meant to be. |

Until he's able to start working for this other company, I do have a suggestion. I wanted to stay home with my son so I bought most all his clothes and a few toys from a few months old till about kindergarten at garage sales. Most of them were like new since they usually outgrow them at that age before they wear them out. It really helped on our budget.

Plus i am so picky about his clothes... and my husband and i wear jeans & steel toes to work so i'm not to worried about us, 1/2 the time i wear his sweatshirts.. :D |
