My friend is having a Girl!!!

I really need to get going, but just had to post this quickly. My very dear friend who is 38 and found out she is unexpectedly pregnant is having a GIRL!!!! She's the one from Russia I've mentioned before. Her son is in high school. Her husband is an only child and has no children. He's in his late 40's and had never been married when he met Julia online. He's a really great guy, just had never met the right lady. I think a girl is perfect for them and for his parents. His parents are way up in years, and I just think a little girl will be ideal for all of them. Julia likes fashion and she will have so much fun dressing up a little girl. She is a very talented artist and she sews, so I know she will make some very creative things for her daughter.

I am sooo very happy for them, and she says we get to baby sit. Yeah!!!!!!

Julia is the one I've mentioned that I walk in the park with.

That's exciting!! It sounds like a little girl will be a perfect fit for them. It's so much fun to dress up little girls. Tell her congratulations from us!

yayyy a new baby. It is fun to dress up little girls. You can't really dress up a boy without having him look like a dork  . Congrats to them and I wish a happy and healthy preganancy and baby girl for them.

How exciting for them...Congratulation to them.

I love my son more than life itself and wouldn't change a thing, but sometimes I sure wish I could have had a girl too.

Janet, your family isn't done yet!!! You still have grandchildren to look forward to and they are as much or more fun than your own child has been! You'll probably have lots of little granddaughters!!! (and grandsons too)

That would be wonderful Diana!!! But you know what they say..."a son is a son till he takes a wife, but a daughter is a daughter all of her life." I think I mentioned this quite some time ago, but my worry is some young lady will whisk my son off and I won't have any holidays with him or my possible grandchildren. I'll always be second in line as far as family visits go. That's why I try to make things special for him now.

Janet, it doesn't have to be that way. I am SO blessed in the woman Joel has chosen. She and I are good friends and she's adopted our family as her own. She's even asked Greg to walk her down the isle at their wedding as she says he's the Father she is closest to. I hope you're as lucky when you sons time comes to choose a wife.

I think that it's all in your relationship with your daughter-in-law. I know with mine I try to be understanding when they go to her family gatherings. Some holidays I have them for the noon meal and other times I have them for leftovers. You'll work something out. I appreciate my daughter-in-law more and more. She's a really good wife and mother so I have very few complaints. You'll love your daughter-in-law because she'll love your son as much as you do!!!! You'll be a great mother-in-law!! You just worry too much!!!
