My New Stove

2 Attachment(s)
It was definitely time to change to a new stove. The old one had a bad touch pad and we had to plug it in and out when we wanted to use the oven and light the burners with a lighter. After I cleaned the oven a while back the oven wasn't cooking right so I said, Enough is enough!!!! And so I got a new stove. I also told myself that I didn't have to have two ovens or a top of the line stove, but all of that went right out the window when I started looking at all of the features!!! It has the two ovens and one of them is a convection oven so that will be interesting to use. Also I've never had the glass top so I'm hoping that it will be easy to keep clean! Anyway, here it is-----

So - what are you going to cook as your first meal? It should be something very exciting and exotic to break in the new oven!!

Diana, I love it. I wish I had a double oven. I may have to bring my Thanksgiving dinner over to your house to cook!

Diana,
I haven't seen so many buttons on anything since the last time I was on an airplane and took a peek inside the cockkpit.
I got intiminated just looking at all those buttons:eek:
Seriously, it is gorgeous and I like your kitchen too:)
(How long did it take you to read the instruction manual for that puppy?)

While my daughter, Dae Lynn, was here yesterday she tried a new cake recipe out in it! Right now I have a roast cooking for supper.

Yes, there are a LOT of buttons. The buttons on the left side run the top oven and the buttons on the right run the bottom oven and the ovens can do different things! As far as reading the manual.....I'm sure that it's going to have to be looked at everytime I bake something for quite a while. I'll probably have to laminate the manual!!! :sidesplit: I have a feeling that it's going to be used a LOT!!!!! (Kat, I'll let you know if it ever tells me that it's ready for take-off!!!)

Oh Diana, how nice!
I have a smooth top range but only a single oven. I love the smooth top as it's so nice to clean up. I'd like the second oven too I think...

I hope you get to enjoy it for MANY years.

Diana it's beautiful!!! I would love to have two ovens around the holidays. You did good on this one.

Marilyn 04-02-2008 05:52 PM

Wow!! I hadn't seen one with two ovens!! That's really nice. I have two ovens, but one is a wall oven and the other is in the stove. Yours is much better utilization of space!! Hope you enjoy this for very many years!!!

How pretty Diana! I'd LOVE to have a stove like that!

So whatcha cookin'?

Janet 04-03-2008 05:29 AM

Diana, I came back to look at the pictures of your stove again and I want to get flooring and backsplash tile like you have. It's so pretty. Our kitchen is similar in arrangement. I have a corner cabinet, drawer section, stove, drawer and door section like yours and then my refridgerator. Small world.

Oh pooey!!! I just had this all written out and lost it!!!!

My tile floor is actually vinyl tile. It's laid square by square like tile but it has the feel of vinyl flooring. I really like it and I have quite a bit of it in the house. Whatever isn't carpeted is this flooring.

The back splash isn't anything very special, just square tile with a toupe line running through it. My contractors were so conservative that they fussed about that little line of tile. They didn't like spending money on extra stuff. They were great guys!! Anyway, the tile is the same as I have around the bathtub only it has a white line on it. I think that you'll be really surprised at all of the tile that is made now. There's some really beautiful pieces that are so much more decorative than what I've got.

Isn't that funny that our kitchens are so similar? I'm going to have to pull up your house pictures and look at it again!!!

Anyway, here's the pictures that shows my bathtub so you can see it with the white line.

I love it!!! Can I ask why you went with individual pieces of vinyl tile instead of a roll? Just curisous.
