Somthing went right for me today !
 

I called Comcast today cause my cable keeps going out, i just have extended basic cable, and i was talking to the guy and he wanted me to upgrade to digital cable, he said i get two free boxes and it will be the same price :rolleyes: i had to ask him 10 times no extra charges no hidden charges so whats the catch, he said comcast is trying to upgrade everyone to digital cause they can fix it over the phone instead of sending a tech. out, so there probably saving some money there.
so i am so excited Thursday i'll have digital cable and on demand, i can watch movies at night.. Maybe.. depends on what time Micah goes to bed and if i have the energy to stay up and watch a movie, i can't even remember the last time i did watch a movie.. well anyways i'm excited. i live a boring life hun? to get this excited over digital cable!!!

Isn't everything suppose to be changed to digital soon? I'm pretty sure that's right. They're saying that the old tv's won't work because they aren't digital but you can get a box that will convert the signal or something. It's been on tv for the last several weeks about it.

i don't watch to much tv diana, but i did hear that before, maybe that's why it's the same price as extended cable, yes im getting the boxes, i have old tv's.

Wow, that's great news!!!! And when you old TV's go out, you can replace them with a new HDTV and be good to go. The new TV's are getting lower in cost all the time, and around Christmas there are some real deals out there!!

I think i'm getting a flat screen after Chirstmas for the livingroom, come June, Mikes taxes and Mikes bills will be paid off, so that will be an extra 500.00 per month, right now i'm just going to stick it in our savings account, just in case we have "raining days" which we had alot of them last year, then if everything is still ok. i'll get one... i just be living in the stone age for the last three years, it's just going to be so nice to have digital cable,, but i have to get this debt paid off this year. Still don't know what Mikes going to do? But things are alittle bit better, at least i got him to stay home at nights on Tuesday's and Thursday's so i can get some cleaning/yard work done, while he spends some quality time with his son.
So that's a start if not with me - with his son.

Happy to hear that things are a little better :) remember baby steps.. one step at a time..

Btw yes digital will be replacing the old tvs.. like Diana mentioned they will have a converter box offered to everyone. Like Marilyn said HDTV are coming down in price and you can't beat the quality of picture from digital. Call Verizon they are offering the Fios plan..

i am taking baby steps Gina, i was just so happy he's spending time with his son, that's a big step for him right now, I'll work on the marriage later, Micah's more important right now, he needs his Daddy to play with him.

I love my comcast! And I have to tell you...I saw the title of your thread and I'm thinking something attacked you today!! (as in went "right at you") Glad it was a good thing for you!

Thanks Janet, it is a beautiful day here in PA, it's already 58 degrees, the sun is shinning, I just talked to my baby sitter she's taking Micah for a walk and he's loving it. Sore today from cutting bushes yesterday. But I am actually in a good mood today, been along time since I could say that, Maybe it was Mike spending time with Micah yesterday that cheered me up today...
