Enjoy the harvest!
 

Every year my family gets together to go to an apple orchard. We go on a hay ride, pick apples and simply enjoy being out in the country together.

Our annual apple day is today. :) My mother, brother and his family, both of my girls and grandkids are going. It's a tradition we've done since I was a child.

Does anyone else have family gatherings like this?

I wish we did, but yours sounds so much fun. Neither of our parents had any kind of tradition except get togethers at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I should have started our own, but then it would always be up to me to get it going. Even though I love the idea, I just don't want to add something else on to my back...:)

That sounds like such fun!! When I was in grade school we used to take trips to the pumpkin patches in October. I always remember those trips and they were such fun. I just love the fall.:)

We will be going to the orchards very soon! I think we are going to be heading out that way this coming weekend. It was nasty out and raining all day today. I really like going to the orchards. Every year we try to go pick our own pumpkins if it is nice out. Sounds like you had fun this weekend. ((HUGS))
