Why is this day going so slow?
I just think i'm tired, Tuesday Micah got chicken poxs shots, very bad night, he had the runs, all over his bed  so 11:00 at night had to stip his bed, and wash him down, finally got him back to bed at 1:00 am, then i had to get up for work at 4:00 am, finished scrubbing down his bed, put fresh sheets on it, he was in bed with daddy, changed our bed sheets before i went to work, ran home at lunch and mopped and threw in another load of clothes, when Daddy came home he took Micah outside so i can scrub the carpets oh there was poo everywhere.. then last night he woke up screaming at 10:30 didn't get him to bed until 11:30, i need some sleep, can't take these shots anymore he's just miserable.. I gave him Motrin last night and again this morning, The doctor said with the chicken poxs he might have a low grade fever and break out in a rash, poor little baby he is just miserable...

You poor thing! I remember those days well, don't know how we all survive them! I hope you get a nap today!

Sorry you're going through all this. I honestly don't remember Ricky having a problem with his shots. I've been very blessed in so many ways with that young man.
I hope things settle down for you and Micah starts to feeling better soon. |

But it was very hard last night holding him while he was crying you just feel so helpless, and i don't like feeling that way when it comes to Micah.. But i didn't know what else to do but hold him and rock him, walk hime.. we even took him outside.. nothing he just cryied himself back to sleep. |
Janet, our children didn't have the chicken pox vaccine so we never dealt with this kind of reaction. It sounds like it would have been easier to just have the chicken pox!

Poor little Micah! I hope he feels better very soon, and that you get a good nap.
Kiss his booboo for me. |
So sorry you are going through this Haley. We all had to deal with some sickness when our children were small. Honestly, I don't remember it so much except the really scary high fever and the broken bone times. It's easier to remember the happier times, and believe it or not, I was considered one of those overprotective moms. No jump ropes (a friend who is a mortitian said lots of children accidently hang themselves with jump ropes), no trampolines, no 4 wheelers, and always bike and rollerblade helmets and pads.
Mine had the chicken pox vaccine, but when they were older than Micah, and did not have any side effects that I can remember. May have run a low grade fever, but not sure now. |
