I just rec'd this in a e-mail...check it out....
Failure Follow the directions below you will be surprised. 1. Go to www.google.com 2. Type in the word "Failure" 3. Look at the first listing. 4. Tell other people before the people at Google fix it. |
OOPS! LOL

That makes me SO freaking mad    I love Dubya. He's doing the best he can, guys. I don't want to get into a political debate here (but I will if I hate to), but seriously, he's doing the best he can under the circumstances that he's been given, which are REALLY crappy circumstances. :(

 I don't think it was sent to me as a political statement, I think it was sent because it was the first thing listed. Google will probably be taking it off once they get wind of it being there. :) |

You know, now that I think about it, you are 100% right, I probably shouldn't have posted that in case it did end up in a debate. It just never occured to me that it might happen. I love life lessons and this is another one, especially when it comes to religion and politics....:) |

I posted again in vent about the bus situation I've been going through. I copied a couple of the email that were exchanged. I didn't post the very first one from the mother to the Assist. Princ. because it was a two pager if printed out and way too long for this forum, but I thought I'd post a couple that a little shorter.

This is what it says now to explain :
If you do a Google search on the word [failure] or the phrase [miserable failure], the top result is currently the White House’s official biographical page for President Bush. We've received some complaints recently from users who assume that this reflects a political bias on our part. I'd like to explain how these results come up in order to allay these concerns. Google's search results are generated by computer programs that rank web pages in large part by examining the number and relative popularity of the sites that link to them. By using a practice called googlebombing, however, determined pranksters can occasionally produce odd results. In this case, a number of webmasters use the phrases [failure] and [miserable failure] to describe and link to President Bush's website, thus pushing it to the top of searches for those phrases. We don't condone the practice of googlebombing, or any other action that seeks to affect the integrity of our search results, but we're also reluctant to alter our results by hand in order to prevent such items from showing up. Pranks like this may be distracting to some, but they don't affect the overall quality of our search service, whose objectivity, as always, remains the core of our mission. |

Thank you Amber...I for one will never, ever post anything pertaining to religion or politics again even in the slightest way. I've learned my lesson....:) |
