http://www.snopes.com:80/food/warnings/coins.asp |
I knew that China was in trouble for some melamie in chocolate but I didn't realize that we'd have to worry about it. I'm ready to boycott anything made in China. (Easier said than done too!!) Thanks for letting us know, Janet.

I'm with you, Diana, but how do we stop?
|
We need to start checking labels for sure. There has got to be more to this...why is China being so neglectful in their exports...something just isn't right in my opinion.

I really think that we should watch our food products especially. I know that China had toothpaste and some things like that recalled because of the same thing. I don't understand why we buy food products and grain from other countries anyway. We have our own rules that our companies have to use for OUR safety so why do we buy from countries that don't go by our rules? It doesn't make sense to me.

Your 100% right Diana. It makes one wonder if it's actually done on purpose. It really has be wondering.

good luck ladies, i tried but almost everything in my house is from china, from baby toys, to bedsheets, to dishes, to picture frames, furniture, clothes, i would have to throw 1/2 of my things out, its impossible to do... were at China's mercy!

That's terrible! It really says a lot about our import regulatory laws.
I agree - let the buyer beware. It's hard to keep up with, but important as far as food is concerned. There's a real shove in this area to buy locally grown and made products. I love the idea. There are markets every weekend, and roadside fruit stands in season. I still have to browse them, but I will. |
