Family/Visitors Coming
My SIL, Jonathan, married to my oldest daughter, Laura, is going to work in Iraq to "catchup" on car repairs and get them ahead to move to a bigger house.
Therefore, Laura and the four kiddos are coming to stay with us while he's gone. They live about 8 miles from us, so she'll take Andrew, Christian, and Delaney to their schools. Brandon's nurse comes in from 7a to 7p. They own three vehicles and all are broke down, so they're using our extra pickup truck. Laura hasn't been able to get a job with having only one vehicle, so she will be able to look now. We have three extra bedrooms, so they will fit OK - visiting not moving in. I set out to clean out some drawers and bedroom clutter this morning and realized that two of the rooms are always ready for guests. My Mom would come stay for a couple months at a time and Hubby's parents would come stay for a few days several times a year. Then, the youngest daughter came to stay for a couple months awhile back. I think my son's the only one who hasn't "moved back in". His wife has stayed with us while he was in Iraq. |
You will certainly have a lively household for awhile!!! I don't know that I could do that for very long because after a while the kids get on my nerves. I'd certainly have to have a quiet spot for myself. You must be an angel!!!!

Diana, my break is my job and having a big outside. I do love having them and agree that they can get on my nerves.

Sandy...you are so lucky to have 3 EXTRA bedrooms!! What I wouldn't give for two more. We have a three bedroom home, but Ricky is in one, we are in the other and the dogs are in one with the computer. I could use two more real easy!!
I don't think I could do it for very long either Diana...I like my quiet time ALOT! |
Most of the time, it's just more room to clean. You'll have an extra room before you know it and be wishing Ricky was back with you!

We're one story, so I actually use the other bathroom quite often to keep it "flushed". And, it rarely goes more than a week that one of the kids, g-kids, or a neighbor/visitor doesn't come through here.
Our house is close to a park and some ballfields, so it's nothing to come home and find a wet towel laying on the washer where my daughter came by and somebody took a shower. Most of the time, they leave notes. |
Sounds like a fun place to visit.. Enjoy your daughter and her family.

It will be good though to spend time with the grandchildren for you. |
