Introducing my Eagle Scout
 

Yesterday afternoon, my son went before the board for his final appearance to become an Eagle Scout.

Rick has made it!!!! He started Scouting when he was in 3rd or 4th grade as a Tiger Cub and has completed and earned his Eagle ranking. I am so proud of him!!

Tell Ricky "Congratulations" from me!!!!! I knew that he was working toward being an Eagle Scout but I didn't know that he'd gone ahead and done it!!! That's quite an accomplishment!!!!!

Thanks everyone...we are just so proud we could burst...LOL. After the holidays, probably sometime in late January or mid February, we will have his Eagle Scout Ceremony and invite friends and family to help us celebrate this big accomplishment.

Ricky even asked if we could invite another Eagle Scout (whose family didn't do a ceremony) to join Ricky's and of course we said yes.

I personally think Scouting is a wonderful thing for kids. Teaches so many things. Seem though that nowadays, it's just not the thing to join and finish as a teenager. I think they join in grade school and then quit in jr/sr high. It's a shame too. My family has really been involved in the Scouting program.
