Last Day Of The Year!!!

It's finally arrived ladies.....the very last day of 2008.
Have any regrets for the past year?

My main regret is that I didn't host more family get togethers. They are very trying at my mothers home. I think a lot has to do with her house being so small, we're elbow to elbow and it can get very annoying, especially if you're not too fond of a couple of the in-laws.

If I would have hosted more get togethers out here where there is room in the house, outside and things to do...like ride four-wheelers, walk in the woods, just anything really, I think it would have been much more fun for everyone.

I'm going to try and do that this year. I've already posted a notice near my bathroom mirror (along with my prayer list) so I won't forget.:)

Any regrets?

I wish that I would have talked much more seriously to Dae Lynn about waiting awhile to get married but I don't know if it would have made much difference. I did mention waiting but wasn't very pushy about it.

I lost some weight this summer and put it back on. I regret that.

I regret that I didn't tell my FIL how much I loved and appreciated him before he died.

I also regret that I didn't keep my mouth shut on several occassions. I'm trying to do better.

And I regret that I didn't bring Janet home with me!!!!!!! LOL

Diana...I regret that I didn't beg you to take me home with you! I have a GPS now...no promises...but maybe.

I can't really come up with a regret. The year was so busy and we did so much, not sure how any of it could have been done differently. Oh, there are things that didn't get done that I wish could have, but then something else would have gone undone. The list of things to do is endless. I told hubby one day, I've about decided that we never will get everything organized just the way we want and all the little projects done. Our lives will just end someday, and someone else will have to sort through it all.

I regret not moving our investments into safer accounts, but who could have known. There is no crystal ball.

All in all, no regrets. And we get to start all over with a fresh new year tomorrow morning.

Yep, now only is it the last day, it is the last five minutes of 2008! :D I rarely make it this long, guess I'll see 2009 in!

No regrets really. I guess I wish I had worked harder on some projects at work - but then that would have taken time away from my husband who is the focus of my attention right now.

I guess I also regret that I didn't move my 401K to a safer place - but like Marilyn said, you can't see in the future, and WHO KNEW! I'm just buying more shares now so that (theoretically) I'll make more money as the market begins to grow again. We'll see.

My goal for 2009 is to get control of my eating. I've been wanting to binge eat for the past few months and I have to stop that! I'm going to try very hard!!!

I regret not leaving my money in my union annuity plan, but I didn't.

My goal is also to lose weight.

Other goals - to make friends up here, find activities that I really enjoy, to start reading books again, to visit my daughter and grandchildren a little bit more, and I am going to meet the love of the rest of my life this year.

My regret from last year is letting myself be unhappy for too long!

No need for regrets. I figure if I wanted something and didn't get it, It was because I didn't really need it after all. If God wanted me to have it I would have.
