Paying Bills
 

Bleh!

Wouldn't it be nice if someone else would just pay the bills for a change?? Mike wouldn't have a clue where to even begin:rolleyes:

Yes, it would be wonderful and Gary wouldn't have a clue either!!! LOL!

That's what I've been trying to do too. It's not going well either. I get so many interruptions!!!

My husband pays bills but he doesn't pay any of my bills, just his own and he doesn't bother to let me know that he didn't pay it. Usually in the winter he takes over and then he doesn't bother to let me know when I need to start paying them again. Makes me so mad!!!! :mad:

Then on the other hand, he doesn't like the way that I pay bills either so I guess we're even!!! LOL

I pay the bills here too. I think if Rick paid the bills reality would slap him in the face and he wouldn't like it...lol

He'd really be upset if he had to pay some of our farm bills!!! It's unreal what some things cost. I just close my eyes and write the check anyway!!

I know what you mean.....a little of the same in the auto body business. Rick use to spend over $200 on a gallon of paint for a car and didn't blink an eye.

I don't pay my bills anymore " except a couple small ones" i have them all deducted from my checking, so no more writing out checks for me,it's so much easier now, i don't have to worry about getting them in the mail in time to get there before they are due, I love it!!! really i just had to do it this way because when i was dealing with mom so much i would forget to send them out and then had to make phone payments, this is so much easier all i have to do is write it in my check ledger " if i can remember to do that" LOL

My hubby bless him goes to work and earns the money but that is as far as it goes he would not have a clue about mortgage gas electric or any thing else I deal with all that as long as he can do his hobbies he is happy, if any thing happens to me well have had to tell my married daughter whats what so she will take over. We joke that if I die first then he would spend all with in a year. So she will take over from me.

I write out the checks each month..

I pay my bills online. The checks go via direct deposit into the bank. I never see them. I'm with you Lynne. I have a certain amount sent out every month, and do the rest online. It takes me about 1/2 hour if I am slow about it. All of the bills that can be, are sent to me online, so I don't even have to get the mail.

I love it this way. If all of my bills were consistently the same amount, I would have them all paid automatically. In fact, there are a couple I overpay by a bit so that I cover them every month and they get paid automatically too.

I also use my debit card as a credit card for just about everything, and I straighten that out once or twice a month, what with overdraft and transfers into the checking account.

If I had to deal with anybody else's bills, like a husband's, it would have to be done my way too, and I surely don't want anybody else taking care of my stuff!

This is, yet, one more reason that I am still single;)
