I am at my g-daughter's 13th birthday party

Have you ever been in a house with fifteen (or so) 12/13 year old GIRLS. They are having a dance party - we moved the furniture out of the den so they could dance. We replaced the fan lights with black lights and put foil on the fan blades with a flashlight hanging below the fan shining up on the foil. It has a strobe effect - cool - but I had forgotten how giggley little teen girls can be!! LOL My ears are bleeding! :D |
Oh Gayle.......are you still able to hear at all? I can't imagine being in a house with that many 13 year olds at the same time!! All those shrill voices!!! Each one trying to talk louder than the others!!! You're a brave woman, Gayle!!!! I admire you!! The things we do for our grandchildren!!!! You deserve a HUGE medal!!!!!
|
OMG!! I never have been with that many teenage girls!! I bet it is very loud... but soooo much funnnnnnnnn!! Tell us all about it when you get your hearing back and your nerves back to normal:D:D:D
|
It's so funny - there are about 10 girls and 5 boys and the boys are sitting lined up on the couch and chairs against the wall, while the girls have yet to sit down anywhere! LOL! It is soooo cute! They just finished eating pizza and are getting ready to play games. I'm actually home now - everything was under control and my daughter and her hubby were doing fine. I did bring the puppy home with me as she had to stay locked up with all the kids - so she was happy to escape with me and Gary is happy that I am back home. My mom is over here at my house too since most of the den furniture is now in her bedroom. I'll take her and Della (the puppy) back at 10:00 when the party is over.

I think you probably enjoyed it...am I right??? I don't think there is anything much louder than a group of 13 year olds, unless it would be a low flying jet...LOL.
|
Janet, you are right about the low flying jet! LOL!
|
Yessssssss I have.. I use to have all crazy parties for my daughter and sleepovers too. They are so much fun and I know that your loving it!!!

How cute Gayle! That is such an adorable , noisy, age! I'm glad she enjoyed her birthday. It sounds like a success.
When Jessie had her first boy/girl party, I had it at a local bowling alley. It was so much easier than having them in the house. She wore a pink feather boa scarf! She was so cute! My granchildrens' birthdays are all in the summer, so they have pool parties. The parents can stay also. You are one brave Grandma! I am so glad she was happy. |
That's beyond bravery and dedication!
We went to Baylor's 5th birthday party on Saturday, found a safe corner and hung out with the other g-parents! |
Awww, her party sounded too precious Gayle LOL

OMG!!! It was absolutely at Maple Lanes!!! Where else would you go bowling in our neighborhood? They were still there when I moved. I love that you did your kids' parties there too. We went to McDonalds too - I don't remember which one. Mostly, when she was younger, we had them at home because Jessie's birthday is in February, and the snow was always an issue. I would get a clown or a magician, order a pizza, and that was that. |
