Sorry Judy, I have to root for the Phillies - although I don't really care that much about baseball - only that it is the World Series!

Gail, you can root for the Phillies! They are great. I also love the Red Sox, but I have a special New Yorker's love for the Yankees.

When I was a kid, we Brooklyn kids all loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, and hated the Yankees. Then, the Dodgers left us and ,moved to San Francisco. I remember feeling so betrayed and abandoned! Then, I tried to like the Mets, because I just could never root for the Yankees. I still like the Mets, although they aren't very good, but as time went by, I realized that the Yankees always win! I began to love them, and now I'm a real fan.
