Wedding, Holidays, it's finally all passed...
 

Whew, we made it through the wedding and the holidays. Karen and Carlton left his morning about 10:00 headed for California. The transport company picked up the RV that they will be living in from in front of our house at around 7 a.m. We all had quite a whirlwind two weeks and now are exhausted.

We did get the tree down today and all the decorations put away.

Melissa and Garrett left for Disney World with his family the day after Christmas, and they are on the way home. So, both our daughters are traveling west on Interstate 10 right now. Karen headed away from us and Melissa headed back to us.

I don't have too many pictures to post. Due to the holidays the photographer hasn't posted anything yet. Here are a few. Karen with her bride's maids. Melissa was her matron of honor and is the one wearing the bolero. Also, Karen's bouquet. I thought the flowers were beautiful. We are so very very blessed!!!

Oh how beautiful they all are!!! I love black bridesmaids dresses - I think they look so elegant! I love the bouquet too! It is gorgeous! I like a bit of color (or a lot actually) in brides bouquets, rather than all white.

I know you are exhausted - you have done so much in such a short time!

Your girls are beautiful!! You did such a wonderful, quick wedding,lol!! I know you'll be glad when everybody arrives at their destination safe and sound. You need to sleep for about a week:)

Nice pictures! I bet you're glad it's all over with so you can relax a little bit. Congrats on the new son-in-law.

The pictures are wonderful, Marilyn! The girls are so beautiful. They both look like you, and the little one next to Karen looks like family too.

It is such an exciting time in both of your daughter's lives! You must be so happy. I bet you are ready to sit down with a nice glass of wine, put your feet up and breathe a big sigh of relief!

I don't think that you've ever posted pictures of Karen before. Both of the girls look so much like you!!! The black dresses look very elegant and Karen's dress is very beautiful!!! I just love the bouquet!!! Very beautiful!!!

I know that you're probably back to work today but I hope you had some time to relax and catch your breath. You've had a very busy December!!!

I love the bouquet as well, and the girls look beautiful! I hope you take the next few evenings and weekends to relax!

i know its still a few hours away but i want to be the first to wish everyone a very merry Christmas.

Thank you all for your kind comments. It was a very nice wedding. They seem to be very happy out in California. We don't hear from her so much with the time difference and the cell phone service isn't the best. She's too busy to post on FB much, but when we do communicate, she seems very happy, and is adjusting to living in a very different climate with very different people.

She has a job at the college tutoring math to high school and college students and is taking a class, I think microbiology, so she's settling in. Her hubby is busy at the base clinic and out hiking around with the Marines. He leaves at 5 a.m. and get's home at 7 p.m., so when he's home he's pretty much relaxing.

Congratulations! The bride looks beautiful as do the bridesmaids.. Glad everything went well.
