I've missed reading here, I just had to come back and beg all of your forgiveness lol
We've been fixing the living room. I've done a lot of painting and we've finally found our style and bought new things that are a combination of the two of us rather than second hand things, things we'd been given or rediculously cheap stuff we couldn't pass up just because we found it on sale.

It seemed a fitting next step as our first year anniversary is coming up :)

Thank you for the well wishes for the new year, I wish the same to all of you :ghug:

The last picture is a good one of the new wall color.

It's really nice Becky! I love the couch, and the drapes are perfect. Great room!

Happy Almost Anniversary!!!

Very pretty Becky! Great color choices. Everything goes together very nicely.:)

Hey you!!! Thought you got lost or something... :) It truly does look great Becky. Decorating takes so much time. Trying to find exactly what you want, purchasing, getting the work done. Painting just wears me out....I honestly don't think I'll ever do it again....getting to old for that kind of work...lol.

I love everything you done. Is the couch new? I really like it.

Looks very nice, Becky. I've been AOL a lot lately, too. Just too much to do.

Everything is beautiful! It's so nice to find a style you can share with your husband!

DianaB 01-16-2010 09:37 PM

I LOVE the Audrey Hepburn picture :D I have a similar one in brown tones in our bedroom :) The room looks great!

pope1982 01-18-2010 09:24 AM

Thanks ladies, I really have missed you all. :)

I start to feel so guilty when time starts slipping away and I feel like I start to lose touch with friends. But that is what makes friends friends! The understanding and the fact that you can relate

Next project is the spare bedroom and painting it a soft sage. We are also turning the basement into our exercise/game room. So much to be done, you are so spot on Janet!

gja1000 01-18-2010 01:17 PM

I LOVE the color of soft sage. My daughter has her half bath painted in soft sage and then has white accents. It is so pretty!

Good luck with all your projects! You have really great taste in decorating!

judy 01-18-2010 03:16 PM

Sage is such a good color to work with. It is relaxing too. My second bedroom and the downstairs bathroom are sage, and it just blends so nicely with lots of other colors.

It is hard work, but you reach a point where it is fun, like when you end up doing the finishing touches. Hang in there, and be daring!

DianaB 01-20-2010 09:58 AM

I agree....light sage is a wonderful color to use for a bedroom and there are so many wonderful ideas for decorating with it too. I'm sure that it will be lovely when you're done!!
