Nursing Conference
 

We hosted a national nursing conference last week and some of my former students traveled from Taiwan to attend (I guess it was an INTERNATIONAL conference, wasn't it!). Anyway, here are a couple of pics of me and my former students. The shorter one is a Dean of a school of nursing in Taiwan.

I always love seeing my former teachers so it probably is just as fun for the teachers to see the students. You look so pretty Gayle.

I love seeing my former teachers too! The Asian students are always so happy to see their former teachers. In Asia, teachers are so very important in students' lives, in fact, they are one of THE most important people in their lives. They appreciate education so much because not all of them get the opportunity to go to college, let alone to graduate school. They always send birthday, Christmas, etc. greetings. And they always bring you a gift. It is part of their culture.

We could use some appreciation in our culture like that!!!

How nice that you get to see your students again. They must love you so much! You are a great person, so I know you are a great teacher! The Asian culture is a pleasure. Their respect for education is very nice to be a part of!

You do look beautiful in red, Gayle! I like you in any color, actually.
