We had a 2-hour delay this morning due to fog. This is what I saw this morning...isn't it pretty? It not ice, just very thick ice crystals.

your pic's are beautiful Janet. Luckily when i left for work there were only a few patches of fog that i had to drive through and it was dark so i didn't get to see all the trees covered except in the headlights of on coming traffic. I'm so tired of this weather!!!!!

OH Gosh, Janet!!! Those pictures are absolutely STUNNING!!!!!

Thanks so much for sharing them with us, we never get to see things like that! :)

I just learned that the ice crystals are called 'hoarfrost'. I didn't even know it had a name.

I've heard the term freezing fog - I wonder if it is the same thing?

Those are so beautiful, Janet! I love the last one in the first batch. I have never seen those kind of crystals.

Be careful going around!

That's what we always call it...freezing fog, even the weathermen call it that.

I pulled your pictures up at Brooke's yesterday, they thought the trees were just so beautiful. If not for the snow on the ground, they would look like dogwood trees in spring bloom!

They kind of do, don't they.
