Pictures I took over spring break
 

Hi All! Sorry, I'm not caught up on reading and replying to posts - I'll try to do that later tonight. Here are some pix I took over spring break of our trip to the lake and thereabouts.

These are pictures of the wildflowers. They are just gorgeous this year.

These are yuccas in bloom and the famous Texas bluebonnets.

Here are some more pix.

Picture 1 is of our little trailer in the RV park. Can you see all the fishing poles leaned up against the trailer?
Pictures 2, 3, 4 are Mountain Laurel blooms. I have two Mountain Laurels in my yard. They are native to Texas but they are a member of the lilac family, so those of you up north may recognize the blooms as looking like lilacs. The blooms smell like grape koolaid - they smell WONDERFUL!!! I took a pic of the whole tree full of blooms, but for some reason, it didn't process.

This is Rowdy with his favorite toy, a 4 foot SNAKE!!! :D

Oh one more picture from the RV park - this sign was posted in the park between where we were parked and the river - I kid you NOT! :eek: Marilyn, if you see this post, you may recognize the Three Rivers Valero refinery in the background.

These are from a cemetary - the color is not quite right because the flowers were all as brilliant red/pink as could be!

and I think these are the last ones, more of our trailer at the RV park and some very pretty yuccas in bloom

LOL! I just found an old picture of me and my daughter that I had scanned into the computer a while back and forgot about. Once upon a time I had DARK BROWN HAIR! This picture was taken in 1980. Is that the Farah Fawcett style, or WHAT!!!

You have the same face Gayle! You were very beautiful with your long, dark hair, and your daughter is adorable!

The RV looks so cozy and nice. I love camping. All of the pictures are incredible, but the 4th picture in the first group is my favorite. The blues are gorgeous.

Wow Gayle! The flowers are absolutely gorgeous!! I love all of them.

Love the pics of the camper too! You're killin' me with those pics! I am sooooo ready for our first trip! Probably next month, we will go on our first one. Looks like there were a few others camping also. Ours is still winterized with antifreeze. Do you all have to do that? Our temps get so cold here that we have to do that.

Love the pic of you and your daughter. You haven't changed a bit except for your hair color. And yes...I think that is pretty close to the Farrah Fawcett cut lol!! Those were the days!!

Rowdy is soooo cute!!! But I couldn't handle snake toy! That thing would freak me out!:eek: I am terrified of snakes.

The park we stay at in Myrtle Beach has alligators. I actually saw one in the lake there. You have to watch your little doggies real close. We never let ours outside without us, not even in the expen by themselves.

Gayle...the wildflowers are so beautiful....I've never seen that many wildflowers in person before. I just know it had to be extra special in person. Love the first picture of Rowdy...he looks like he loves the photographer... :)

I wish we still had our camper even if it was a pop-up. I miss camping so much. I still have all the items (dishes..etc) in plastic tubs in our garage just in case we ever get another one...maybe someday.

You look lovely Farrah....I mean Gayle... :) You can still tell it's you for sure! Did I see a satellite by your camper?

Yes mam, you did! We really rough it don't we. LOL!! We take our extra satellite dish with us when we travel so that we can have all 1000 channels (j/k, it's not quite 1000) at all times.

Gary is a TV junkie - he always watched a lot of TV, but since he got sick he watches it even more - for many hours every day!!!

Gayle, the flowers are just beautiful!!! Like Janet said, I bet they were so much more beautiful in person!!! They make me so ready for warmer weather and getting my flowers planted!!!

.....And look at you!!!! You were quite the babe with your Farrah Fawcett hairdo!!! I had my hair like that only longer after Glen and I got married!!! Ah.....the memories!!!

Yep...Spring in Texas:D Gotta love it! Where were you camping? Looks like a spot with great trees! Mike is a TV junkie, too. Makes me crazy:p
