Mia

Hello and I hope everyone has been well. I am trying to catch up on all the posts so it will take me awhile....

As far as what I have been up to as you all know I had last written that I had a frozen shoulder and was going for an MRI. Well that test came back and I have two partially torn rotartar cuffs and my shoulder which is causing me the most pain is from the frozen shoulder. I have started a new PT back in Feb. I try to go at least three x s a week , along with my stretching exercises that I do at home, and I guess the phase that I am in. The pain is starting to get so much better , my ROM was very limited , I couldn't even hook my bra.. Now that was terrible.. It is easing up a little thank God... I have read online that this FS is disease and it takes usually from a year to 2 yrs to thaw out.. Lovely I feel like a piece of meat. lol I have had it from August and didn't know it. I am going to start with a massage therapist who specializes in I can't think of the term maybe Gayle can help me here.. its what we have in our bodies that protect our organs. It was explained to me like when you peel a orange the white skin coating that protects the orange.. we have something like that with an M in our bodies, what she does is to strecht that and I hear that it helps. I start next week, and I will ask my sil for term.

I am a little concern for my right shoulder and arm sometimes bothers me and I pray ohhhhhhhh nooo please God I couldn't deal with both of them. So I am trying not to think of it...The PT says once it goes away I should not worry about it returning. Chances are that it won't .. Keeping fingers crosssed .

I am busy with working , and to be honest I have been in constant pain I haven't been so pleasant to be around. Old and crotchey lol I feel like I get over whelmed . So this has been my time away from here and to be honest I have been depressed over this FS it does make you feel that way, I wouldn't want to wish it on anyone. Funny I never heard of this before and now by the PT office there are about 4 others who have it...

My kids are doing well thank God , its been a long and cold winter, today happens to be a summer like day.. I am off this weekend and catching up on stuff.. So this is what has been going on.. I have missed everyone and hope to catch up...

Hey Gina! I am so glad that you decided to update us on what has been going on with you. I'm sorry your shoulder is no better. Hopefully you will have better luck with the massages. I sure hope so.
Glad your weather is good. We're expecting heavy rains and wind this evening.

I'm so glad you gave an update Gina and really glad that your shoulder is getting better. Just wish it didn't have to take so long. Definitely hoping your other shoulder doesn't get the same thing. Is there some kind of preventive therapy you could do?

Poor Gina! Chronic pain is so depressing! I am glad that it is getting better, and hopefully that the other shoulder doesn't get any smart ideas!!!

I love your description of that orange white stuff that starts with an m!

By the way, I had to stalk my dentist to get an appointment! I went once, then he canceled Wednesday, and I am waiting for him to call. That makes a total of 2 visits all year that I had!!! (The weather was so bad, I didn't start pushing for visits this winter - my fault). He is not going to finish, and I am going to have to start again with yet another dentist! I will be finished before 2011 if I have to sleep at NYU!!!:mad::mad:

Judy that white stuff is called Myofascial.. and I will be going to a specialist who does Myofascial massages . I will let you know how it works , hopefully I will get an appt. this week.

Good luck with the teeth!

Gina, I'm so sorry to hear that your shoulder is still bothering you. I've never heard of your condition and I sure hope that you don't get it in the other one too. I'm sure happy that you're back on here.....you've been missed!!!!

Thank you so much Diana.. I have never heard of this condition myself. and now at the therapist she has a few patients .. I have missed you and the others and I am back....

Gina, so good to hear from you, too. Looks like we both checked back in at about the same time. So sorry to hear you are still having shoulder problems. Someone else told me their wife had a frozen shoulder and because of hearing about yours, I knew what it was. Had never heard of it until you experienced the problem. I have a lot of neck pain, but your shoulder sounds much worse. Will pray that your are better very soon, and that the other shoulder straightens up as well!!!
