Still Hearing That Accident
Remember the accident in front of my house last month? I'm still having a hard time forgeting the sound of it. Most times when a car goes by, I hear a little bit of gravel sound and get startled. Even just hearing different car/truck sounds going down our road will startle me.
I really shook me up more than I thought. At one time I wanted to be a volunteer on EMS because I can think really clearly during an emergency...it's afterwards that I go nuts...lol. How in the world could I have ever done that when I would have to see and just not hear? I have so much respect for those that can. |
How is that man? He is so lucky! You may not have the heart to be an EMS, but if I crashed into a tree, I would surely be grateful if I ended up in your house! You have such a good heart!

Post traumatic stress, Janet. It will pass with time:)

I agree with Betsi. It will pass with time Janet.
I also have so much respect for EMT's. I don't think I could do it. |

The man is doing just fine now. Thankfully he had his seatbelt on and the airbags.
I sure will be glad when I don't 'hear' it as often...I don't like it... :) |
