Cleaning.....

I'm trying to go with the spring cleaning fever that I've kinda' been having. I cleaned my bathroom a couple of weeks ago. It really needed it. I still need to clean the drawers out and the cabinet but I'll get to that later.

Now I'm cleaning my bedroom......it had really become a catch-all for stuff. Plus the bed needed to be moved.....it was right in front of a window (It actually looked nice there) but there's a vent right in front of the window too and with an air bed it would heat up the bed when it would come up which doesn't go well with going through the change!!!!

I'm doing a through cleaning.....even vaccuuming UNDER the drawers in the dressers!!! Next I'm going to clean MY side of the closet!! I work so slow on stuff that I'm thinking I may get me an energy dirink (not really).......who knows maybe I'll turn into a cleaning tornado!!!.........NOT!!! :sidesplit:

Anyone else doing spring cleaning?

My definition of cleaning is vacuuming and putting dishes inside diswasher. I might spray the tub once in awhile :p

I've been doing bits and pieces! Last month I went through the closet and reorganized and came up with a box of clothes I don't wear anymore to put in our spring garage sale, and then donate whatever doesn't sell. I cleaned and rearranged the bedroom when I painted it a few weeks ago! When it warms up I want to wash all of our windows, inside and outside, but that's not going to happen anytime soon judging from the snow and cold outside!

Scott finally did a kitchen cleaning while I was working Monday night. I came downstairs at midnight and I was amazed! We have a fridge now! He took down all the pictures and things we've had up there for ages, so now it's just new family and friend pictures and the rest is just clean white fridge :) He also got rid of all the stuff that was piling up on the counters. It's just stuff we've put off forever! Now it seems so much cleaner and clutter-free.

I'm not doing spring cleaning since we just moved - but what I am doing is trying to stay on top of things better than I did at the other house. I don't like housework, at all - and I have a housekeeper who comes in twice a month - but what needs to be done is the occasional deep cleaning ( she does not do this), which I hate to do but am trying to stay on top of so it is not such a chore.

That's what I'm doing......deep cleaning. My granddaughter, Kera, that cleaned for me last summer is planning on coming again in a few weeks. Mom and Dad told her that she HAD to have a job......I think that she's been in a little bit of trouble!!! So she contaced me for a job.....really hard.....about 3 hours a week!!!!!

I need to clean so bad but it's going to have to wait. Tell Kera I'll hire her but her grandma would have to bring her...lol

Kera would probably jump at the chance to get away from home for awhile!!!! I should warn you though that she's NOT the best cleaner!!!!

Gayle, she is ripping you off. I have a wonderful friend who her and her sister clean houses. I use her once every six months and she cleans were I wouldn't even think of cleaning. She gets down on her knees and scrubs, fans, blinds behind everywhere you name it. She brings her own supplies and she's welcome to what I have. I mean my house is almost left sterile ok not really but she does a great job. She charges like $60 or so.

Would your friend and sister like to clean a house in Kansas? I have the check written and waiting for them!!!! LOL

Janet 03-26-2011 01:59 PM

Me too...Me too....have them take a road trip and come to Indiana too. Sounds like a great deal to me.

paula1961 03-26-2011 03:37 PM

WOW!!! I want in on this too!!! Ya think she might come to Ky lol.

JJJ 03-26-2011 07:06 PM

Lol, she's the only one I use so I have no idea how much others charge. I wish I could afford her more often but I'm a broke women :(

I will definitely pass this on :D

Could use someone to clean my Mom's house too...would even pay extra for that.. :)

I finally got my bedroom finished except for shampooing the carpet. It looks so nice and clean now!!! Yay!!!
