I thought so too! I did email about her yesterday and they told me their dogs absolutely do not get trials

Every shelter or rescue around here will do a trial but this one won't. So we'll need to be 100% sure that she will do well in our family before we get her. So it's something to think about!
On another note, I ABSOLUTELY love my new town!!! Yesterday it finally stopped raining and snowing and the sun started shining! So after work I put on my flip-flops and hauled the patio furniture out of the garage, and ran around the yard with Layla for a little while. Scott tried out our underground sprinklers in the back yard and got them working. Then we took Layla for a walk! We saw a few families out walking and everyone cheerfully said hi to us. We wandered downtown and read the "Heritage Building" signs on almost every building. They've all been there since the early 1900's! Even all of the churches are very old. The United Church downtown is the most beautiful! There was also a Roman Catholic church and an Anglican Church (the smallest of the three... figures because I'm Anglican lol!) And we decided that maybe when we get married we'll just do the ceremony there and have it small with close friends and family, and then do a reception in the city so more people can come and have hotels to stay in

Anyways, it was just great to imagine our whole lives playing out there!
On our way home it was getting dark and we could hear the owls calling

Little things like that make me feel so much more at home than I was in the city! I think I was smiling all night!
