My family and the family of one of my best friends back home has a tradition to get together every Christmas eve
The last few years have been lacking because we haven't all been around. This year my friend is coming out to the cabin to see me tomorrow night, but my parents had the celebration early by visiting her parents last night
But I'm excited to see her anyway! When we were younger we'd always think for months of what to do that night... putting on a Christmas skit for our families, buying candy canes and other Christmas candies to hand to everyone, or building gingerbread houses
Christmas eve with that family is one of my favorite memories!
My brother and his girlfriend and the little girls will be arriving at the cabin late on Christmas eve this year, after visiting with her grandparents in another city. I'm sure we will just stay up and play cards and other games and drink egg nog until we're too tired to stay awake any longer!
