I think if you two are in the same mental and emotional mind set, age is irrelevant. My ex-boyfriend and I were a year apart and we were together for 3 years. We broke up because I wanted to get married and have a family and he wanted to play around and "test the waters." My husband is 9 years older than me but when we met, we both wanted the same things and were more compatible emotionally. i feel like he is my soul mate, and while sometimes I tease him about stuff by saying "I don't remember that, I wasn't born yet
" our age difference is never an issue.
