It's a rolled up piece of brown paper with little round pieces of paper glued to the sides of it and hung by a paper clip. It's suppose to be a pinecone!! My son has threatened to throw it away and so now we keep an eye on it to make sure that he doesn't follow through with his threat. I've been thinking that I should get a small shadow box and frame it in that to keep it in and display at Christmas time! It's one of those things that only a Mom could love!!

I totally understand!! But unlike your son, I have my ornaments from my childhood. To me they are just more treasures to share with my children. I get to tell them things like, "This one is from when mommy was your age" or "Grandma gave me this when I was only..." and so on. Those little paper ornaments are such treasures!!
