Janet, I think it's great you can do something you're so passionate about!
I'm not knowledgeable about Yorkies, but I used to breed horses and German Shepherds, and know there are colors in those too that are NOT acceptable, so I kinda know what you're saying. The thing is, not everyone is interested in breeding or showing, so for those who just want a pet to love, your chocolate pups might be the most beautiful things they've ever seen!

The absolutely best foal we ever had conformation-wise was a cream quarter horse. She was show quality (other than color) and had the thickest most gorgeous main and tail I've ever seen. Her temperment and trainability were fantastic. Because she was cream colored, she couldn't be registered or shown, etc... yet she became a family horse that was absolutely cherished and won many ribbons for their kids in 4-H etc.

She might well have been the most appreciated foal we ever sold. She is one I would definitely love to clone just because she's one special horse in spite of her "unacceptable" color. A chocolate Yorkie could very easily turn out the same.
