Thanks for the support ladies.
I just sent my resume for the job I want. I was very open in my cover letter about the fact that I have a lot of experience that I feel would help me in the position, yet have no formal education related to it.

I explained that I know my application is a stretch, but that I am willing to prove myself given the chance. So I hope...

If nothing comes of it, at least I will have tried.
