I have a friend whose husband told her that he always does whatever she asks him to because you never know when your time is up and he would never want her to remember him as not doing something she wanted or needed if he died. How sweet is that? Needless to say, they have a good marriage. I think that's why saying "I love you" often is important.

Aww! That's so sweet. It sounds like they have a wonderful relationship. As for Max, I'm sure he just loves being the center of your attention!!  What a lucky dog...
