My sweet mother has been going to jury selection for a very difficult (emotionally straining) case for the past week. It doesn't look like she'll be selected for the final jury, but it already seems to have made her very sad.
She was upset today because she saw the family of the victim cry for the first time. They have sequestered 14 of the 100 member jury pool since the case will appear on Court TV, but if the lawyers throw any of these members off of the jury tomorrow, my mom could be chosen. Please pray that this doesn't happen. I know it would devastate her to have to see those images and the family's tears and to have to be completely alone in a hotel away from her children during that time. I really, REALLY hope she doesn't get chosen...
