Max was a year old in April. That raggedy blue and white thing hanging on him is a very short leash.
When he went into puberty, he began marking and I leashed him to retrain him.
He's a dominant little boy - that's just his nature, and by just putting the leash on him, he not only was retrained to paper and outside, but I noticed that he started to get that I'm the boss, not him. This was necessary, after a lot of advice on YT. reading Cesar Milan, talking to people, etc. I also started waking him as a training thing every day for at least 30-40 minutes.
I had taken him off the leash about a month ago, but decided that I really have to put the finishing touches on his little attitude, and train him to sit, come, stay, etc. 100% because I'll be looking for a little girl i8n the fall. He's going to set the example for the little one, so I need him to be a good big brother.
He is the best dog outside and with people and children. He really is a pleasure.
We will always have a tug of war because of his dominant nature, but that's who he is.
I'm so glad you all like the pictures!
