I just wanted to update to say that it's definitely a robin's nest.
We saw Mama there today. She flew away when we drove our car under the nest. (We have to in order to park!)

Diana, I'm sorry you got attacked too! I think blue jays are the most protective birds out there when it comes to their babies!!
