Goofywife, you're considered "through" menopause when you've gone a full yr without a period. I agree with the others that you're most likely never going to have a hot flash. You lucky lady!

I've had up to 7 months between periods... start thinking "this time 'm gonna hit that year!" And then I'll get one again. LOL
Age 52 is the average age for menopause, and I'll be 53 in November, so I'm more than willing to be average!
I really don't have terrible hot flashes, but I'm much more emotional and wimpy than I normally am. I can get choked up over little or nothing and it's quite embarrassing for someone who's not used to being that way.
For example, when I was leaving my Moms house yesterday my 2 yr old granddd cried about my leaving her and I felt myself tearing up right with her. LOL How foolish and unlike me!
