I guess I have situational anxiety. When I first got married my anxiety got really bad. My doctor put me on zoloft but I stopped taking it because I was sleeping like 18 hours a day (i didn't have a job at the time). After about 18months of marriage things started to go better. And like now I'm having a lot of nagging anxiety over my current situation. So I think Xanax might be a good tool for me. I only take half of a 25mg pill when I feel overwhelmed. I've only taken 1.5 pills, but they have been a big help.
I'm so sorry that you have to live with such dibilitating anxiety that must be aweful. and don't you just hate it when people tell you to just relax....or stop being so hard on yourself. I only wish it were that easy. I'm so glad you've found something that works for you though.
