I had a GREAT job, we both had brand new cars, but FAFSA paid for his school. Just research ALL of your options before getting too upset. I promise you that there is SOMEONE out there who will give you a loan for school. Waaaaaaaaaay too many people do it for it to not be possible. Cheer up! Don't sit there and cry....put all of your energy into finding another place to get a loan, especially FAFSA.

Unfortunately, I'm in Canada and we have nothing like that. Basically you get a loan if you farm, or are aboriginal or a visible minority. I am none of those. I knew a guy who was in one of my first year classes who drove a $17,000 car, lived with his parents, and had worked for the past 4 years, and he got all his schooling paid for by student loans. I made a lot of money on my 8 month work term last year, but I've spent every penny of it on my line of credit monthly interest. I just feel like throwing up right now, I am so shocked I didn't get anything.
