There is NOTHING wrong IMO with self satisfication. And besides, I honestly feel we at times can please our ownselves better than with a partner.
I've never had issues personally with it, I began when I was a teen. Obviously I am not too shy to say so either, LOL.
I feel if you are not comfortable knowing your body and what feels good, then it makes it more difficult to know what you would like with your partner, or how to tell him.
Go for it. Glass of wine, hot bath, your waterproof buddy, lights down low, be alone, and ease your mind.
