CoyoteQueen, I'm one of those notorious Labradoodle breeders. I have 2 reg standard poodles, 2 reg labs and an f1 labradoodle right now. The poodles are both males, the others are female. If all goes according to plan I will have a new litter in mid April, so I'm really looking forward to that!
For the benefit of those whe aren't familiar with Labradoodles, they were originally designed as service/therapy dogs for people who are allergic to most dog breeds. The combination of lab and poodle has proven to create very smart, healthy, often hypo-allergenic dogs that shed far less than a lab yet are much less expensive and time consuming to groom than a pure poodle. While there are some who are appalled at the idea of crossing 2 different breeds, this one started out with a very specific goal in mind and proved to be an excellent pet besides. Quite seriously, this is how ALL our known and accepted breeds began...
