Tink, I know its been a few days. But I would still call. Let me tell you about how my friend got her job. She intervieiwed 3 times! LOL! So she finally said on the third interview,

"Look, I'm the right person for the job. I want the job, and this is my last suit!! So, I am not coming in for another interview! You need to hire me!"

she didnt know the problem was, the guy was going to be her boss, and she intimidates him a little bit! LMAO

turns out he had 2 equally qualified candidates, and he chose the "other" woman!

So when he called my friend, she said, "your making a mistake, but thank you for letting me know."
2 weeks later he had to call her and offer her the job because the woman he chose had a family crisis and couldnt stay! So my friend REALLY rubbed it in. They have been working together like 4 years now, and they bicker and carry on like siblings, she is definately the older sister!

Getting a new job is extremely stressful. I have noticed that if I get a new job, almost always the first week, I'll end up with the flu, or a bad cold. Its really hard to learn a new job ill and I never felt like I had enough positive built up to offset a negative like a few days off. Anyway my point is, I have seen more than a few people lose their job within weeks of being hired. Getting hired is the first step....keeping the job is the real test. So if I were you, I would still call if it was something I really wanted and if it is filled, still be polite. You never know what could happen.
