So hope this works for you. I can relate to your frustration. We tried for 9 years before having our first. Fortunately we did not have to resort to IVF. They were just beginning to do the procedure when we became pregnant. I took prednisone and Clomid for years. Had surgery, ovarian wedge resection. Hubby had surgery, too, and took hormone shots. We were quite a pair, both with infertility issues. I was taking 5 Clomid a day when we finally got pregnant the first time. They did an ultrasound as soon as they could to "see how many are in there". Fortunately, there was only one each time. After the first, delivered by C-Section because my pelvis would not open, we tried again taking the 5 daily Clomid and became pregnant the first try, so we have two daughters 18 months apart who are now 21 and 22 years old. We were overprotective parents and took the job very seriously. They are wonderful daughters and we thank God every day for them.

We cried lots of nights because we wanted children so badly and it just wasn't happening for us. I stood on my head after sex, did anything anyone suggested that might help. Overheard and endured the whispers at family events, people wondering why we did not have childern and if there was something wrong. I had PCOS, and fortunately show very few of the outward symptoms of the disease.

We became pregnant with a third, and I miscarried. After that, things went downhill. First there were bad cells in my uterus, then cervix, so ended up having a hysterectomy.

I will be praying that you are successful this time. We have discussed what we would have done had things not worked out as they did. We know a couple who adopted the most precious two little boys from South America. They were infants when they got them, and though not brothers about the same age. They are very happy, and we realize now that we could have loved adopted children as our own. At the time, we thought we just had to have our own, and are very happy that it worked out for us, but if it had not, we could have loved and been just as proud of adopted children.

Truly and sincerely wishing you the very best outcome!!
