We lost all of our wheat crop last year, between the freeze that we had and the flood.

Bob planted tons of wheat in my garden. It was good because it saved the topsoil- we had torrential rains this winter, but what a trial for me as I weeded it out of my strawberries. The fruit trees are below the garden so the wheat traveled down there too. Nothing on our property is level except the house and I'm not sure about that. Someone told me the other day to put straw or hay thickly around every fruit tree and they would blossom later (hopefully after the late frosts). Have you ever heard of that? I"m sorry to hear you lost your wheat last year. That was one awful 4 days in April.
