I'm doing ok ladies. "still kicking" as my mother would say.
I'm fine as long as I don't exert myself. I pulled a sheet and blanket out of the washer this morning to put in the dryer and got out of breath again just from that. So I know I made the right choice in not going.
Last weekend I had a major upset and ended up getting 4 hrs of sleep that night. On Thursday I had another major confrontation with someone that just pushed me over the edge. It's this kind of stuff that gets my heart acting up and unfortunately, it's not always avoidable. The adrenaline just attacks me and is what caused my first heart attack. I've learned since to just back off when this happens and so far have prevented a second one.
My dr expects me to be having angina under stress. Our agreement is that if I take 3 nitro tablets in an hrs time and am still having episodes, I go in to ER. One has been taking care of it, so I know it's time to back off and rest, but not so bad I have to go in.
When I take Nitro, my blood pressure drops and I have to lay down. It gives me a wicked headache and can cause me to pass out, if I stay upright. That's why I didn't dare drive 5 hrs. If I had to take one I'd have been laying down in my car along the interstate... not a good plan.
