AWFUL! The audition is held in NY. After you sign up on line, they send you a thing telling you what time and date. So, (I took Megan along for company). We get to the ABC building and there are about 150 people there. They let everyone into the room (it was the ABC cafateria...I couldn't help thinking about the people who eat lunch there!). Anyway, they gave us a written test with 30 questions and you have 10 minutes to complete it. The questions were really hard...about President's of foreign countries, and geography
. After the test they run them through a machine to grade them. They don't tell you what or even how many you got wrong. They just call out the people who passed. (Less than 20 out of those 150 passed). Those people then get their picture taken and a face to face interview. They said that you would hear in 2 weeks if you make it into the contestant pool. After that they can call you any time up to 2 years and put you on the show. One thing: You know how they wave that check around "with your name on it"? All for show...you don't get the money for 30 days if you win up 250,000. If you win over that amount you get $250,000 in 30 days and the rest in annual payments over the next 10 years! It was fun, and I do want to try again next year.
