Last night I called my Mom to see if she would want to go to the festival at Rossville today with me. She said she would really like to, but didn't want to ruin it if she got too tired. My Mom is VERY independent and I said "Mom, don't get mad at me, but I do have Vivian's brand new wheel chair", Vivian was my MIL. She said she didn't need a wheel chair, but if I wanted to stick it in the van...okay. I went ahead and took it out of the van when we got to Rossville, but she just wanted to push it like a grocery cart. Said that was all she would need it for. This lady will not give an inch, I tell ya, she'll fight it as much as she can. Well we walked about 2 blocks to the intersection so we could watch the parade and she wanted to sit in it to watch. She got out of it when the parade was over, but not for long. She was so glad I had brought it. It was so hot and humid.

I told her I needed to run on to Lafayette and I could either take her home or she could come with me. She said she didn't have anything else to do so she would like to come. We went to Lowe's first and I didn't say a word, just got the wheel chair out and she hopped right in it...LOL. I pushed her all over the store. Then we went to Menard's...same thing. I was running down the aisle's and pushing her and just standing there....LOL. We really had a good time and she laughed a lot. She wobbles an awful lot when she walks, so I think I'll just leave it in the van for awhile. She even told me she was sure glad I brought it.
