I am so very happy you got him out of such a bad life!!
Years ago I was at a local shelter and adopted a 2 year old Great Dane/Lab mix. Her card stated she originally was adopted from another local organization and family had no time to attend to her needs, so gave her up to shelter.
She had tags from vets office so I called them for her records. Got her original owners name off of that. I called them to let them know that she had a forever home with me. Turns out they had given her to a couple that had her for two weeks before they took her to shelter. They were so upset that she ended up in a shelter situation. They had told the new owners that if it did not work out to please return her. They had no idea that she was put into a shelter.
I assured them that she was loved and would have a forever home with me. They were very grateful. She was very loved and a special part of my family till her death.
I just don't understand how people can be so heartless and uncaring..
thankfully there are people like you and I that can undue the suffering and add love to these furbabies lifes.
