It takes a long time for a headstone to come in. It took several months for my husband's to come in. I had a scene from the house and land we owned engraved on it along with our wedding date. I had my name and birthday put on my side and I had both our slabs laid at the same time because I wanted them to be cut from the same granite. His has his nickname and "Beloved of Kim" at the bottom. Mine has "Mama of Russ and Mitch" in the middle and "Mark's Dumplin'" at the bottom. I did it because I didn't want my boys to have to worry about anything when I go.

I know it's depressing, but it's something to think about
