Now that it's getting warmer outside I would love to go for more walks by the river since I live so close. I think I will convince Scott to go on some "brisk" walks with me

This will be your excuse to get a doggie stroller. We use ours to take Rex & Rowdy walking with us because Gary's doctor says he needs to walk non-stop. He can't walk till he gets out of breath, due to his heart condition, but he is supposed to walk continuously and you just can't do that with two BOY dogs. (who want to pee on every bush) LOL!
So, we pop them in the stroller and off we go! It's GREAT!
